Aurora Halal

Aurora Halal is a Brooklyn-based DJ, producer and visual artist who has been a central force in New York’s underground since 2010. She founded the Mutual Dreaming party series and co-founded the Sustain-Release festival, both vital platforms for exploratory electronic music and community. Her sound is shadowy, psychedelic and driven by hardware, balancing dancefloor physicality with hypnotic depth. Aurora treats the dancefloor as a space for transformation, where body and mind move together. Technical skill, visual imagination and emotional intensity define her work. She is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary electronic music.
