Art & Installations

Art and installations give Lago Lago its own identity. Spread across the terrein you’ll discover works that surprise, astonish and sometimes make you slow down for a moment. From interactive objects you walk into and play with, to installations that only truly come to life when night falls. Let your eyes wander and be guided by curiosity, sometimes you find the most beautiful things by chance.

Installations

Brutalist Portal

PHOS:FORM presents an immersive installation that blurs the boundary between human and environment. A sharp, monolithic object that invites you to step into a world of endless reflections and shifting perspectives. A constantly changing appearance, shaped by the contrast between day and night.

Line in Motion

Among the treetops a flowing installation unfolds, designed by PHOS:FORM. A play of light that captures the energy of the night and makes the green surroundings pulse in a playful movement.

Sonolume

An interactive light and sound installation by Loomaland. Sonolume makes sound tangible. Play your own notes and bring the illuminated panels to life. Every note sets a interplay of light and sound in motion, making you part of the artwork yourself.

Array of Reflection

An immersive audiovisual installation that transforms a series of mirrored surfaces into a dynamic landscape of light, reflection and sound. Oscillating between subtle contemplation and overwhelming intensity, the work reinterprets space and perception through choreographed light, movement and audio-responsive interactions.

Matalo

Seven metal pillars rise up from the greenery, a colossal installation to wander through. Mirrored steel against soft nature. Feel the contrast, become small for a moment. When night falls, light seeps through the cracks, as if something lives within.

Coluna

Coluna is a three-dimensional artwork built from wooden, milled parts. From every angle a different image unfolds, a play of lines, shapes and perspective.

When evening falls, the sculptures are lit from within by LED. The result is a subtle landscape of light in which wood, shadow and colour come together. An object that constantly changes as you move past it.

Lavender

Lavender is a monumental blue canvas, produced by Thieu Smeets and Chasing the Hihat. This returning artwork appears again this year in a new spot on the terrein, inviting interaction. Visitors can experience it both physically and optically: a place to pause and find some calm, or to lose yourself in an abstract play of colour and movement.

Bubble Beacon

The Bubble Beacon is an autonomous pillar that blows smoke bubbles into the air. A playful artwork that is continuously in motion and can subtly shift in atmosphere. The installation can take on all the colours of the rainbow, or choose just one elegant shade that fits the moment. Light and airy during the day, almost cinematic in the evening.

Fragma

An audiovisual trip where reality seems unreal. Tom Honders and Mick Dijkstra take you on a visual journey through the beauty of our world. Slowed down. Astonished. As if you’re seeing for the first time what was always there
